Agneta Åse Fältskog, nació un 5 de abril de 1950, en
Jonkoping (Suecia).
A los quince años se integra en la orquesta de danza Bengt Enghart Orkestra.
Después de dos años firma un contrato con la firma de discos Cupol y graba su
primer sencillo “Jag Var Så Kär”.
En 1968, Agnetha lanza su primer álbum titulado simplemente “Agnetha Fältskog”.
Se enamora de un productor y letrista alemán, Dieter Zimmermann, que le promete
una gran carrera en Alemania, y después de varios sencillos en alemán sin
éxito, ese país acabo con la paciencia de Agnetha y con su romance, regresando
sola a Suecia.
En mayo de 1969, la televisión sueca invitó a Agnetha a participar en el
programa “Räkna De Lyckliga Stunderna Blott”.
Cuando Agnetha descubrió que en el elenco participaba también Björn Ulvaeus, se
puso muy contenta, dado que le gustaba mucho.
El amor surgió muy rápidamente entre ellos, durante el rodaje del programa.
En noviembre de ese mismo año salió su segundo LP “Agnetha Volume II”, seguido
de un tercero “Som Jag Är” un año más tarde y “När En Vacker Tanke Blir En
Sång” en 1971.
El 6 de Julio de 1971, Agnetha y Björn contraen matrimonio.
Con cuatro álbumes y varios éxitos en el Svensktoppen, fue elegida para
interpretar el papel de María-Magdalena, en el Musical Jesucristo Superstar,
que se estrenó en Göterborg en octubre de 1972.
Un poco más tarde, trece días después del Melodifestivalen de 1973, Agnetha dio
a luz a Linda.
En 1975, Agnetha, editó su último álbum
“Elva Kvinnor I Ett Hus” bajo el sello Cupol, donde tenía un contrato
hasta final de año.
En verano, interpretó en
directo “Tack For En Underbar Vanlig Dag” y “Dom Har Glömt” de ese álbum.
Ya en diciembre de 1977, el segundo hijo de Björn y Agnetha nace pocos
días antes del estreno de “ABBA La Película”.
En septiembre de 1979, lanza su recopilatorio “Tio år med Agnetha” y para
la ocasión, añade una nueva canción “När Du Tar Mej I Din Famn”.
Dos años más tarde, edita el álbum “Nu Tandas Tusen Juleljus” con canciones navideñas
suecas, a dúo con su hija Linda.
En 1982, Agnetha, fue elegida para uno de los papeles principales de la
película “Raskenstam”, que trata de la verdadera historia de un Don Juan sueco,
en los años 40, que estafó a unas 100 mujeres después de seducirlas.
También grabó a dúo con Tomas Ledin la canción “Never Again”, que lanzaría en
castellano un año más tarde bajo el título “Ya Nunca Más”.
En 1983, empezó su carrera en solitario.
El primer álbum, “Wrap Your Arms Around Me”, producido por Mike Chapman, fue el
más exitoso, debido a que fue mejor promocionado.
Para la película “P & B” grabó las canciones “It's So Nice To Be Rich” y
“P&B”, aunque ella no aparece en el film.
En 1985, lanzó su segundo álbum “Eyes of a Woman”, producido por Eric Stewart.
En 1986, grabo a dúo con Ola Hakansson el sencillo “The Way You Are” con “Fly
Like The Eagle” en su cara B, que fue otro éxito en Suecia y Noruega.
En 1987, lanzó, con su hijo Christian, el álbum para niños “Kom Folj Med I Var
Karussell”.
Después, Agnetha se fue a California para grabar su tercer álbum “I Stand
Alone”, producido por Peter Cetera y Bruce Gaitsch.
En 1996, salió el recopilatorio “My Love, My Life”, del que hay que destacar
que todos los temas fueron elegidos por Agnetha.
En 1998, editó el CD-Single “The Queen of Heart”, que es la versión inglesa de
“När du tar mej i din famn" y que sirvió para promocionar el recopilatorio
“That’s Me” que salió el mismo año.
Después de 17 años, en 2004, Agnetha decidió hacerse
un regalo, grabando las canciones que le gustaron en su juventud.
El resultado es “My Colouring Book”.
Nueve años después, en 2013, Jörgen Elofsson y Peter Nordahl, convencieron a
Agnetha para grabar un nuevo álbum con canciones expresamente escritas para
ella.

El último sencillo del álbum “I Should´ve Followed You Home” es un dúo con Gary
Barlow, quien la invitó a cantar en directo con él, en el programa “Children in
Need” en Inglaterra, lo que haría que el sencillo consiguiera el mayor éxito de
los tres, en Europa y EEUU.
En agosto de 2023, Agnetha nos regaló una nueva canción "Where Do We Go
From Here?", que se incluyó en una nueva versión del álbum “A” titulado
“A+”.

Se creó un video manga animado, al estilo de Barbie, para la nueva canción.

For this reason, we're going to celebrate by reviewing her story through her
music.
Agneta Åse Fältskog was born on April 5, 1950, in Jonkoping, Sweden.
At the age of fifteen, she joined the Bengt Enghart Orkestra dance orchestra.
After two years, she signed a contract with the record label Cupol and recorded
her first single, "Jag Var Så Kär."
In 1968, Agnetha released her first album, simply titled "Agnetha
Fältskog."
She fell in love with a German producer and songwriter, Dieter Zimmermann, who
promised her a successful career in Germany. After several unsuccessful
German singles, that country ran out of patience with Agnetha and her romance,
and she returned to Sweden alone. In May 1969, Swedish television invited Agnetha to participate in the program
"Räkna De Lyckliga Stunderna Blott."
When Agnetha discovered that Björn Ulvaeus was also on the cast, she was
delighted, as she liked him very much.
Love quickly blossomed between them during the filming of the program.
In November of that same year, her second LP, "Agnetha Volume II,"
was released, followed by a third, "Som Jag Är" a year later, and
"När En Vacker Tanke Blir En Sång" in 1971.
On July 6, 1971, Agnetha and Björn were married. With four albums and several
hits on the Svensktoppen charts, she was chosen to play the role of Mary
Magdalene in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, which premiered in Götterborg in
October 1972.
A little later, thirteen days after the 1973 Melodifestivalen, Agnetha gave birth
to Linda.
In 1975, Agnetha released her last album, "Elva Kvinnor I Ett Hus," on
the Cupol label, where she had a contract until the end of the year.
That summer, she performed "Tack For En Underbar Vanlig Dag" and
"Dom Har Glömt" live from that album.
In December 1977, Björn and Agnetha's second child was born just days before the
premiere of "ABBA The Movie."
In September 1979, she released her compilation album "Tio år med
Agnetha" and, for the occasion, added a new song, "När Du Tar Mej I
Din Famn."
Two years later, she released the album "Nu Tandas Tusen Juleljus,"
featuring Swedish Christmas songs, a duet with her daughter Linda.
In 1982, Agnetha was cast in one of the lead roles in the film
"Raskenstam," which tells the true story of a Swedish Don Juan in the
1940s who swindled around 100 women after seducing them.
She also recorded the song "Never Again" as a duet with Tomas Ledin,
which she released in Spanish a year later under the title "Ya Nunca
Más."
In 1983, she began her solo career.
Her first album, "Wrap Your Arms Around Me," produced by Mike

The album's final single, "I Should've Followed You Home," is a duet
with Gary Barlow, who invited her to sing live with him on the show
"Children in Need" in England. This would make the single the most
successful of the three in Europe and the US.
In August 2023, Agnetha gave us a new song, "Where Do We Go From
Here?", which was included on a new version of the album "A"
titled "A+."
It features alternate versions of the original songs.
A Barbie-style animated manga video was created for the new song.
