Ring, Ring (el álbum)

Ring Ring es el primer álbum de estudio de ABBA, bajo el nombre de "Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Frida". Fue publicado por Polar Music el 26 de marzo de 1973 en Escandinavia, y más tarde en algunos países europeos.

Peter Wiking fue el encargado del diseño del álbum y Lars Falk y Bengt H. Malmqvist de la foto de portada que viene de una sesión de fotos de 1972.

Por la diversidad de estilos de las canciones que lo componen, el álbum “Ring, Ring” siempre se ha quedado atrás en su reconocimiento. En efecto, tiene “She’s My Kind a Girl” y “Rock n’roll Band” que son una adaptación de las versiones de Björn y Benny. “Disillusion” es una Canción de Agnetha originalmente escrita en sueco para su álbum “Elva kvinnor i ett hus”. Pero, por fin el nuevo “Ring, Ring” está presente en su idioma original sueco y en inglés, para el mercado internacional.

Por ese motivo, las sesiones de grabaciones se extiende de noviembre de 1969 hasta marzo de 1973.

El álbum solo entró en las listas de cuatro países, alcanzando en tres de ellas el Top Ten en Suecia, Noruega y Australia, mientras en la lista de Nueva Zelanda quedó dentro del Top 40.
